General Rules

  • All fees are non-refundable. No Exceptions. 

  • Students and routines removed after the 21 day deadline are considered a fair scratch. No credit will be offered.

  • Independent entries are not excepted.

  • Entries are accepted on a first come/ first served basis and are limited to performance time availability.

  • All fees must be paid by credit card or cashier's check. After the deadline date has past any late registrations must be paid by credit card and will have a $10.00 late fee applied per routine.

  • All entries must be postmarked by or entered online by the entry deadline date (21 days) before event. Entry deadlines can be found on the regional page next to each city.

  • Precision Arts, Inc reserves the right to refuse entry at any time for any reason.​

  • A dancer may only win title at one regional per year.

  • Precision Arts Inc is not responsible for any items left at the event.

 

 

 

Pictures & Videos

  • NO CAMERAS of any kind will be allowed in the auditorium during performances. Use of cameras, iPads, or phone to take pictures or record routines during performances may result in point deduction, disqualification of routine, or disqualification of studio. PLEASE REMIND PARENTS.

  • Video cameras and flash photography are welcomed during award ceremonies.

 

 

 

Performance Guidelines

  • If dance movements, music lyrics, or costuming are deemed to be too suggestive or otherwise inappropriate for our family audience, or if the music contains vulgar or inappropriate lyrics, the scores will reflect poor choices in music and movement.

  • Coaching from the wings is prohibited.

 

 

 

Prop & Scenery 

Guidelines

  • Fire, swords, and knives on stage are prohibited. Simulated weapons with dull, safe edges are acceptable with approval of Precision Arts Challenge.

  • No liquid, gel, aerosol, glitter, or similar substance that would affect the dancing surface is allowed unless specifically approved by Precision Arts Challenge.

  • Helium balloons are not permitted. Special fog or smoke is not permitted unless specifically approved by Precision arts Challenge. Safety is always our MAIN priority.

  • No live animals.

  • Scenery or backdrops requiring the use of theater fly bars may not be used.

  • Lighting may not be adjusted.

  • Props are allowed, however they must be freestanding.

  • Precision Arts Inc reserves the right to limit or deny prop usage depending on venue or time restrictions.

 

 

 

Waiver & Release Information

Contestants and teachers understand that by entering a Precision Arts, Inc event give their permission and consent to the directors of Precision Arts, Inc to use their images or photographs or appear in videos, television, or any other electronic media for advertising, news coverage or any other commercial use of our events. Any performer competing in dance competitions takes certain inherent risks. These include, but are not limited to sprains, bruises, pulled muscles, and broken bones. Participation in this competition indicates the acceptance of such risks by performers. Therefore by virtue of entering this event, it is agreed that participants will not hold Precision Arts, Inc.; or its officers, directors officials, staff or employees responsible for injuries sustained or illnesses contracted by them while in attendance and/or participating in any activity related to a Precision Arts, Inc. Precision Arts, Inc and the hosting facility are not responsible for personal injury to either contestants or spectators. Precision Arts, Inc is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Do not leave your property and valuables unattended in the theater or dressing rooms. Precision Arts, Inc reserves the rights to change, delete, or add to any rules, regulations, or policies at any time deemed necessary.
